Third Molar Extraction Live Surgery Course in TIJUANA, MEXICO

This course is designed to teach general dentists simple, safe, and effective techniques for surgical third molar extraction. This beginner-friendly course is suitable for dentists with little or no prior experience in third molar surgery. It is also beneficial for experienced clinicians who want to improve their confidence and efficiency when
managing more challenging extraction cases. The course emphasizes Dr. Young Sam Kim’s Easy, Simple, Safe, and Efficient techniques for minimally invasive and atraumatic third molar extraction, including flapless approaches when clinically appropriate. Participants will learn patient-safety protocols, anesthesia considerations, incision and flap design, proper instrument selection, surgical extraction techniques, and suturing. The program includes case reviews and supervised surgical procedures on live patients, with an optional pre-course lecture and hands-on exercise on Day 1.
The number and complexity of assigned cases may vary depending on patient availability, clinical suitability, and each participant’s experience and skill level. Specific case types and the total number of extractions cannot be guaranteed.
All course materials and clinical supplies are included. Participants who fulfill the attendance and course requirements will receive 28 CE credits.

1. Apply appropriate patient-safety protocols based on an understanding of anesthesia, incision design, flap management, and suturing techniques.
2. Identify and explain the proper use of surgical extraction instruments.
3. Evaluate different types of third molar cases and select appropriate surgical approaches.
4. Apply minimally invasive and atraumatic third molar extraction techniques, including flapless approaches when clinically appropriate.
5. Perform third molar extractions on live patients under the supervision of experienced faculty members.
6. Improve surgical confidence and skills in preparation for more advanced third molar extraction cases.

Dr. Young Sam Kim is an internationally recognized clinician, educator, author, and broadcaster specializing in third molar extraction and dental implant surgery. He lectures internationally on safe, efficient, and minimally invasive techniques for third molar extraction and implant procedures. Dr. Kim has authored several influential clinical textbooks. His book, Extraction of Third Molars: Easy, Simple, Safe, Efficient, Minimally Invasive, and Atraumatic, was published in 2018 and has been translated into five languages. 
He has also published three implant-focused textbooks. His first implant textbook, ESSE Mastering Dental Implants, was published in 2021, translated into three languages, and is widely used as a clinical reference. His second book, Atlas of Implants, was published in January 2025, followed by Simple Immediate Implants in August 2025.
